Hey all!! Been a little tardy (ha!) lately, its been quite a busy summer!! I've been working with shoe designers Shane & Shawn on their line amongst other things and ive been really bad with keeping up with blogging, but i try to have my camera on me as much as possible!! Anyhoo, all fashionistas know Mercedes Benz Fashion week has come and gone, and NY was a (delicious) nightmare!! Traffic everywhere, overcrowded nightclubs, not an empty cab in sight, models EVERYWHERE (the fatty in me weeps...) it was one crazy fabulous week! Networked a lot and met a lot of interesting people, and learnt how to 'fake' my way into the tents (a fashionista must-know apparently) with a rather daring friend of mine. Um...i'll stick to obtaining invitations thanks!! Faking it is not for the faint of heart (i.e. me)
Fashions Night out was simply amazzingg!! I saw so many (fashion) celebrities as well as regular celebs, and got many great deals + sales, and the energy in NY was just crazzzy, Soho & 5th/Madison ave were like Carnivals. Spotted: Anna Wintour (I know!! chased her down the street too) Sienna Miller, Ciara, Justin Timberlake, Zac Posen, Andre Leon Tally, Mary-K & Ashley, a whole lot of other people! didnt take any pics tho, i dont know im not one for pointing a camera in a persons face, famous or not!!...but i DID try to capture the madness of the people cos thats what i found the most exciting

Our designer friend Lanre DaSilva came from Nigeria for the Arise Africa fashion show which was in the tents at Bryant Park, and we assisted her cos she was new to NY to get ready for her show, so we attended the Arise show the next day, and it was simply amazing!! the talent was so diverse and all the designers flew in from different parts of Africa to participate, and I couldnt be prouder. I also got to see all my favorite models including Sesilee Lopez (who is on the cover of the Arise magazine), Chanel Iman, Oluchi, Arlenis Sosa, and a couple more, and my good friend Ify Jones who is also a model was in the show, so it was even more exciting to watch :D:D:D
We attended the party later in Lanre DaSilva (mine is the blazer...not very well photographed but the detail and the silhouette is amazing!!)
we will be back in full force soon, hopefully try and take a few pictures this week if we can, cos its my birthday weekend so we will be together. thanks for visiting the blog and all the kind comments you all always leave!! xo
